Kids are naturally curious about their own bodies. Why does my heart beat faster when I run? What are those things inside me? How do my lungs work? The Human Body Kit is built around that curiosity, and it gives kids ages 3 to 6 a way to actually explore the answers through play.
What's inside
This is the first kit in our Learn + Play series, and we packed it. Here's everything that comes in the box:
- Me and My Amazing Body book for reading together and building vocabulary around anatomy
- X-ray images for exploration and discovery
- X-ray themed playdough cutter with homemade playdough
- Lung learning activity with a simple experiment kids can actually do
- Working stethoscope for pretend play
- Doctor clipboard with checklist so they can play doctor for real
- Human body playdough mat with organ pieces for hands-on anatomy exploration
- Bonus printable resources to extend the learning
What they're actually learning
It looks like play, and it is. But a lot is happening at the same time:
- Early science and anatomy concepts, introduced in a way that makes sense to a 4 year old
- Observation and cause and effect through the experiments and tools
- New vocabulary from the book and the activities
- Fine motor skills from the playdough mat and organ placement
- Confidence and imaginative play through the doctor role play setup
No prep. No screens. Just play.
Everything in the kit is ready to use right out of the box. You don't need to print anything, gather supplies, or watch a tutorial first. Open it, sit down with your kid, and let them lead. The stethoscope alone will buy you a solid 20 minutes.
Who it's for
The Human Body Kit is designed for ages 3 to 6 and is Montessori-inspired, meaning it's built around hands-on, self-directed exploration rather than worksheets or passive learning. It works great for kids who love pretend play, kids who ask a lot of questions, and honestly any kid who has ever poked their own belly and wondered what's in there.
You can grab the Human Body Kit on its own, or get it as part of our Learn + Play Kit Monthly Subscription so a new themed kit shows up every month.
